Laboratory muffle furnace is a high-temperature heating equipment commonly used in laboratories. It is mainly used for high-temperature processing operations such as sintering, annealing, ashing, and melting of samples. The following is a detailed introduction about it: Structural features: Taking the DZSL-B box-type muffle furnace as an example, the furnace shell adopts a thin steel plate hemming welding process, the inner furnace lining is an integral silicon refractory structure, and the heating element is made of iron-chromium aluminum alloy in a spiral shape and embedded in the furnace lining wire groove. The insulation layer of the furnace body is composed of refractory fiber and expanded perlite products. The furnace door bricks are made of lightweight refractory materials. The thermocouple is installed in the temperature measuring hole at the rear of the furnace body through a fixed seat. This sealed furnace lining design and split temperature control system can meet the laboratory's precise temperature control needs. Working principle: Muffle furnaces usually use resistance heating. They use the heat generated by current passing through heating elements (such as resistance wires, silicon carbon rods, silicon molybdenum rods, etc.) to increase the temperature in the furnace through radiation and convection, thereby heating the sample. Main types: Experimental electric furnaces can be divided into box furnaces, tube furnaces, crucible furnaces, etc. according to their appearance. Box-type resistance furnaces are periodic operation electric furnaces with various specifications such as high temperature and medium temperature. They can be used in laboratories of industrial and mining enterprises, scientific research and other units for chemical analysis, physical measurement, general heat treatments such as quenching, annealing and tempering of small steel parts, and metal sintering, melting, analysis and other heating purposes. Application fields: In the field of materials science, it can be used for sintering, melting, elemental analysis, physical determination of materials, etc.; in the field of chemistry, it can be used as sample processing equipment in water quality analysis, environmental analysis and other fields, and can also be used for chemical analysis, physical determination, etc.; in the field of biology, it can be used for heating treatment of samples in some biological experiments; in the pharmaceutical industry, it can be used for testing of drugs, pretreatment of medical samples, etc.; in coal quality analysis, it can be used to measure moisture, ash, volatile matter, ash melting point analysis, ash component analysis, elemental analysis, etc. Specifications: Different models of laboratory muffle furnaces have different specifications. For example, the SX2-2.5-10 muffle furnace has a rated operating temperature of 1000℃, a rated operating voltage of 220V, a rated operating power of 2.5kW, and a furnace working size of 80×120×200mm; while the SX2-12-12 muffle furnace has a rated operating temperature of 1200℃, a rated working voltage of 380V, a rated working power of 12kW, and a furnace working size of 200×300×500mm.
