Magnesium oxide (MgO) is a common inorganic compound composed of magnesium and oxygen elements. It is a white powder or crystal at room temperature. It has the characteristics of high melting point (about 2852°C), strong alkalinity, and high temperature resistance. It is widely used in refractory materials, medicine, environmental protection and other fields, and is mainly prepared by calcined magnesite or chemical precipitation.

1. Main uses Refractory materials field 1. Due to its high temperature resistance, it is often used in metallurgical furnace linings, crucibles, refractory bricks, etc., accounting for more than 60% of industrial usage.    Medicine and Food 2. In medicine, it is used as an antacid to neutralize gastric acid (such as gastric medicine ingredients); in food additives, it is used to adjust pH value or as a nutritional fortifier (magnesium supplement).  Environmental protection application 3. Treat acidic wastewater, neutralize sulfuric acid, hydrochloric acid and other pollutants; adsorb heavy metal ions and purify industrial waste gas.  Agriculture and Horticulture 4. Improve acidic soil and adjust pH to a suitable range for crop growth; use as magnesium fertilizer to supplement the nutrients needed by plants.  Industrial additives 5. Fillers in rubber and plastics to improve heat resistance and wear resistance; fluxes in the production of ceramics and glass; key components of cable insulation materials.
